The Strip does more for the locals here than just provide a fantastic view and place to go when you are up for a five-star restaurant or night on the town. It is the dividing point of East vs. West. Most of us have a definite preference over what side of the city we consider the best.

What's Below? Table of Contents

Las Vegas West Side

With the Red Rock Mountains on the far west side the views are stunning. Summerlin is seen by many as the cornerstone of the west side. The master planned community has golf course homes and country club homes designed by some of the most skillful contractors in Vegas. It still amazes me how many trails, parks, and golf courses there are.

West Side Breaks Out

Over the past few years and in the midst of the building boom the west side has expanded with Mountain’s Edge and Southern Highlands to the south and Centennial Hills growing larger to the north. These are beautiful areas now that grace the west side of the Vegas Valley.

Las Vegas East Side

The east side includes Henderson, Green Valley, and Sunrise Mountain. Just as the west side has grown so has the east. The east side has some well-established neighborhoods that contain a great deal of our city’s history. There is a great variety of homes from the older to the more modern and new.

Anthem is nestled in the mountains and provides beautiful views of the Strip. There are several golf courses on the east side and golf course living is available just as on the west side. The shopping malls include the Galleria and the Boulevard Mall.

Which side of Vegas do you Prefer?

I for one have my definite preference. I wouldn’t even dream about living on the other side. But for right now I will simply place my vote below. Place your vote and let’s see who the winner is. Please comment also to tell us why you prefer one side or the other.
