Meeting Professionals International World Education Congress (WEC) heads to Vegas, at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, on July 20th and ends on July 23rd. Meeting planners will be attending this convention to gain inspiration and insight into planning their events. Meeting Professionals International (MPI) is the premier global association community for event and meeting professionals.

MPI Foundation Golf Tournament
The MPI Foundation will be holding its esteemed fundraising golf tournament at Rio Secco Golf Club in Las Vegas. Richard Harper, Executive Vice President of Helms Briscoe will chair the golf tournament. Team captains include Stephen Revetria, Vice President and General Manager at Giants Enterprises/AT&T for Team West, and Gus Vonderheide, Vice President of Sales at the Hyatt Group heads up Team East.
RISE Awards Presentation on July 22nd
MPI World Education Congress is for Meeting Planners to learn innovative ways to plan their events.
Four recipients will be honored for their MPI RISE Awards. They will be recognized for global transferability, innovation, and influence within the meeting and event industry. The 2013 MPI RISE Awards recipients are: Maria Meschi for the Young Professional Achievement, Miguel Neves as Member of the Year, Scott Friedman for the Meeting Industry Leadership, and MPI Canada Chapters for National Meetings Industry Day for the Community Achievement in Knowledge and Ideas.
