Las Vegas and the World Market Center are geared up and ready to go for the summer 2011 furniture extravaganza. Twice a year this event comes to Las Vegas and brings designers, buyers, and furniture industry professionals from all over the globe. This, my friends, is the largest home furnishings and accessories event in the world. The summer market is being held August 1st through the 5th.

World Market Center’s Global Furniture Market—an Architectural Delight

The World Market Center campus is known world-wide for their bi-annual event. The Las Vegas Market is organized down to the tiniest of details. They make sure every need is met for attendees and exhibitors alike. From shuttles to food services all your desires will be met by their on-site amenities.

The three buildings themselves are an architectural delight from the outside to the inside. With 5 million square feet of premier exhibit space no one is disappointed. It is THE place to be to discover new trends for home furnishings—all done with the utmost efficiency, accessibility, and style.

Building B will astound you the moment you enter the glass doors. If you gaze upwards you can see all the escalators for each floor. The design is spectacular. It is so mind-boggling that I must admit I get a little dizzy when I look upwards—but trust me it’s well worth it for this remarkable architectural piece of genius.

Food Services on Campus and at Mundo

The WMC campus offers many diverse selections of scrumptious food. Also available on the first level as you enter the conclave of buildings is Mundo. Their avante garde Mexican cuisine is an absolute delight. This upscale restaurant honors the long and flavorful history of Mexican cuisine. As soon as you enter Old World Mexico will greet you. The enchiladas are to die for and are a must to try.

President Bill Clinton—Keynote Speaker

This year the World Market Center is proud to welcome President Bill Clinton. Furniture professionals will have the exceptional chance to hear his perceptions and solutions on the most pressing economic and social issues in the United States and globally. There will be a moderated question and answer session following his speech. The President will speak August 2nd at 6:45p.m.

After the keynote speech cocktails, hors d’oeuveres, and networking are all to be enjoyed by the market attendees. They are also offering one fortunate buyer a chance to receive a photo and participate in a meet and greet with President Bill Clinton. It is a random selection process. The winner must be registered as a buyer. The lucky winner will be notified prior to the market opening.
