In our reporting of Las Vegas Events we would be lax if we did not mention the Cinco de Mayo party held by DS Group. The event was held at the beautiful Bad Lands Golf course here in Las Vegas.
The DS Group founded by partners David Truman and Scott Jacobs are some of the best architectural and construction expert witnesses in the business.
The event was held completely free and was a fantastic way of showing their gratitude to all their friends, clients, and business partners they have made over the years. They gave away several prizes including a 37” flat screen TV provided by the Litigation Document Group, hotel accommodations in St. George, and a gift certificate from Retro Bakery.
Las Vegas Business Partners that Believe in Vegas
I had a chance to meet with both David and Scott and there is not a single bad thing anybody could say about the two. Doing business with people of this nature should never be taken for granted.
Scott Jacobs’s motto is “I believe in Vegas”. He even goes as far as having the phrase on his email signature.
In the business world, meeting people who actually care with great passion about both their clients and employees alike is a rarity. Dave and Scott have proved the point by holding this celebration for clients and staff.
Prizes and Winners
The main prize they gave away was a 37” High Definition TV that Frank Spady, the Las Vegas International Press Club CEO, believed he was a shoe in for. Frank has an excellent track record of winning just about everything. I can’t explain it, I can’t put it into words, and it transcends all odds. But this time, as the hand reached into that giant jar of cards to pull out a lucky winner for the grand prize, Frank’s name was not called.
That was however until they pulled out the next card.
“I’m going to win that,” said Frank Spady after immediately receiving the e-mail invitation. He receives many invitations for Las Vegas events and he quickly sent in his RSVP for the Cinco de Mayo celebration.
So when the second drawing was at hand those that know Frank were not too surprised when his name was called. He won a 30 dollar gift certificate to what is one of the best bakeries in Vegas—the Retro Bakery. That keeps Frank’s winning record intact!
Las Vegas Important Attendees
While at the event I spotted and spoke with several attendees including, Ethan Kottler, candidate for Family Court Judge Dept. S, Cami M. Perkins, attorney with Hutchison & Steffen, Patricia Lee, attorney and partner at Hutchison & Steffen. Patricia was the happy winner of the flat screen TV!
All in all the event was a great success and nothing but laughs and good times for all that attended.
