March 25-28th the Las Vegas Convention Center will welcome over 45,000 visitors for the bi-annual ASD Show/Retail Merchandise Trade Show. The ASD Show, which has been around since 1961, connects suppliers with buyers, and offers them a chance to liquidate inventory, and create new buyer/seller relationships.

The ASD Show Is Like 6 Tradeshows in One

The ASD show is a must for anyone in the retail business who is looking for great deals on just about anything from toys to automotive parts or jewelry. The ASD Show occurs twice a year and features 2,800 vendors, selling items from six categories: gift & home, fashion accessories, jewelry/cash & carry, health & beauty, value & variety, and toys & novelties; almost like 6 different tradeshows all in one! Past exhibitors include Beijing Talent-Expo Co. Ltd., Entertainment Liquidators of Canada, and Infinite International Inc.

ASD Show Buyers Come From all Over the Globe

Buyers come from 88 different countries, for stores big and small, including HyVee, JC Penny, TJ Maxx, and Overstock.com. Groups of retailers can come together to form buying groups that not only hold large amounts of buying power, but can share ideas and insider tips with each other. Past groups include the AHVRP (Association for Hospital Volunteer Resource Professionals), which represents over 1,000 hospital gift shops, Family Dollar, which represents 44 states, and over 7,000 store, and NACS (National Association of College Stores) , which represents 3,000 college stores from over 36 countries, including the US and Canada.

Not only does the show offer plenty of buying opportunities, but the show will also have several seminars on how to increase revenue and cutting edge marketing ideas. These seminars include “Using the Techniques of Inventors & Innovators to Generate New Ideas” and ” Homing In on Your Sales Targets Like A Cruise Missile.”

Suppliers and Buyers Alike Benefit from the ASD Show

The ASD strives to bring together high-quality buyers and suppliers to help ensure profitable future relationships and to serve as a one-stop-shop for basics. The Las Vegas Convention also offers the chance for buyers to diversify their inventory and try new products. Whether you are a mass supplier, or a buyer for an independent gift shop, this is the place to be!
