Las Vegas weddings are still one of the best great venues for couples to say “I Do” despite the Las Vegas economy. I recently attended a wedding at the luxurious Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. They did a beautiful job making a meaningful and special wedding for my nephew and his bride-to-be.
Mandalay Bay Wedding Chapel
The platinum wedding chapel decor was tasteful with soft cream colored curtains, dark wood and comfy chairs for all the guests. The music the couple selected was played at a pleasing volume and transitioned from one song to the other perfectly. The ceremony started on time and was not rushed—even though other excited couples were queuing up outside the chapel door. A video tape was even made of the ceremony so they could view their ceremony for years to come.
Once the wedding ceremony was done, the newlyweds and family went outside to have photos taken on a carpet of lush green grass dotted with spectacular palm trees and red and white flowers. It was a beautiful setting for capturing these magical moments with the couple and family.
eyecandy sound lounge & bar
Celebrating for this couple and guests was not to be deterred because of the Las Vegas economy. When the formal wedding pictures were taken we walked over to “eyecandy sound lounge & bar” in Mandalay Bay where drinks and appetizers were served. We congratulated and toasted the new couple in this beautiful lounge before heading off to dinner.
MIX Night Club for the Reception
A wedding isn’t complete without wedding cake and we were not only served yummy slices of cake but ate it on the 64th floor of The Hotel at the night club MIX. A thin pane of glass separated us from the Las Vegas Strip which stretched out below sparkling against the night sky with every color you could possibly imagine.
It had to be one of the best views in town and what a perfect way to celebrate a Vegas wedding. We danced at the MIX until dawn without thinking about the Las Vegas economy and caught a flight home at 6:00am from the town that never sleeps, Viva Las Vegas!
