Halloween Las Vegas Style – Take the Day Off!

Las Vegas begins their Halloween celebration with the state offices and schools closing. The entire state of Nevada celebrates “Statehood Day” on October 31. With this extra time off people can start their holiday early as they gear up for one or more of the fantastic Halloween events in Las Vegas.

You may just think this is an excuse to take Halloween off in Sin City, but not really. Nevada actually entered into the Union on October 31, 1864. Since then, Nevada government employees and banks celebrate the day by taking the last Friday in October as a holiday.

The Best Halloween Parties in Las Vegas

Fright Dome at Circus Circus offers rides, haunted houses, scare zones, and complete freak shows to give even the most seasoned Halloween enthusiast a good heart-stopping fright. With haunted houses such as Fright Hill, Chainsaw Massacre and the Home of Michael Myers, you are sure to get your Fright Night fill! Even though Circus Circus is known as being kid and family friendly, take this recommendation also as a caveat:

“ONE OF THE MOST EXTREME HAUNTED HOUSES IN THE WORLD” – THE TRAVEL CHANNEL

These are just a few of the gory, action-filled haunted houses in Las Vegas. Vegas is the perfect place to bring a friend (but your worst enemy may be more appropriate…).

The Adventuredome is taking a step into the movie magic home as they grip tales and scenes from some of the most terrifying theatrical movies and put the characters and most horrific story lines onto the streets. Where live action killers and zombie-eating creatures are walking side by side with the visitors who dare to enter into their dark haunted experience.

Another one of Halloween events that is already creepy is the Las Vegas wax museum, Madame Tussauds After Dark. This strange and weird attraction takes it up a notch when the creatures of the night come out to play. An after dark experience becomes a wax museum nightmare as your interaction goes from being a spectator to being a participant.

If you like to dance your night away, then dress it up and take it out to one of the many Las Vegas nightclubs that will be rocking it with Halloween parties that start the day before and continue the day after with a hot celebration of the season of ghouls. Drink specials to celebrate the night and costume contests help bring fun and fantasy to a new realm of nightlife for the partiers.

One of the well-known nightclub events is the Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball, which has almost every attendee decked out for the ultimate fright night event. The event takes place Saturday, October 29th this year. You can expect entertainment from artists such as DJ Scribble and DJ R.O.B. This event is 21 and over. The party doesn’t stop until 4am the next day! If you’re lucky, you might come across some tickets for the afterhours party and get to socialize with the entertainers until 6am.
