The so called Sin City isn’t all about the casinos. There are other things you can do in this exciting and vibrant city in the desert, and you definitely don’t have to spend all your days and evenings risking your life’s savings. Get out there and see what else fabulous Las Vegas has to offer.
1. Take to the Skies
Board a helicopter and take a ride you’ll never forget. It’s a great way to see this city from a bird’s eye perspective, and it doesn’t end in Vegas once you’re airborne. A helicopter ride could easily take you to the Grand Canyon, flying over the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead en-route. You’re in for an unforgettable experience and jaw-dropping views.
2. Are You a Secret Cowboy?
Why not see if you’re suited to being a cowboy (or girl, of course)? The desert with its intriguing rock formations around the Grand Canyon offer a fantastic backdrop to try out your horse riding skills. Allow your imagination take you back in time to the days of the Wild West. A truly authentic slice of America.
3. Skydiving – Indoors!
Have you ever tried skydiving? Most of us probably haven’t. Vegas offers you the opportunity to try it out – indoors! Vegas Indoor Skydiving has an exciting experience waiting for all levels of expertise, from first time flyers to experienced skydivers wanting to hone their skills. The vertical wind tunnel blasts a column of wind powerful enough to support body weight in midair. If you’ve never tried it before, don’t worry. You’ll be given a training class, suited up in flight gear, and before you know what you’re doing, you’ll be flying! Oh, for those worrying about falling, there’s a trampoline waiting to catch you at the bottom.
4. Get Your Adrenaline Pumping in the Stratosphere
If you fancy a bit of adrenaline pumping fun, then why not head for the white knuckle rides atop the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower? The aptly named Insanity is waiting to dangle you from the top (a mere 900 feet!) via a mechanical arm that stretches out over the edge, leaving you to contemplate your lot as you look in disbelief at the ground far below. You’ll be spun around at speeds up to 3 G.
Try the Big Shot and hurtle into the air at 45 miles per hour to a height of 160 feet before being pulled back to the top of the tower. You may, in that earth stopping moment, catch a fantastic view of the city, particularly at night. When you’ve had quite enough, head to the AirBar or Observation Deck for a cocktail and spectacular views across the city.
5. Drive a Supercar
Have you ever fancied yourself behind the wheel of a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or perhaps an Aston Martin? Well, in Vegas you can make your dream a reality at Exotic Racing, one of the most exciting things you could do in the city. No need to worry if your experience driving McLaren’s, Porsches, and a host of other high-end cars is rather limited, as classroom instruction is on hand that will soon have you raring to go! Personal coaching will have you pushing the limits in your dream supercar. Not that it’s likely, but just in case anything goes wrong, make sure your trip is protected so you have for peace of mind during your holiday in Vegas.
No doubt about it, there’s more to Vegas than the glitzy casinos. The next opportunity you get to visit the famed Sin City, don’t get caught up in the money drain and lose all your money. Be smarter than that, and try something else.
