FRANK: How many planes do you have?

DONNA – Flying ICU: We actually just acquired a fourth airplane, that’s a Linear jet, and that’s one of the reasons why going to Canada was great timing, because we are now able to hopefully contract with a handful of traveler insurance companies that I’ve met during my trip to Canada.

When I went and visited with those executives, I actually learned about the conference that the traveler insurance association of Canada was actually holding in Nashville. It was held the next couple of days after the Canada trip ended and I was able to go to meet them again in Nashville and not only to meet with the same people that I was formally introduced to in Canada, but make new relationships and be introduced to new executives. That’s been a very successful trip for us.

FRANK: Wow, so of all the trips, you say you went to Israel, you went to Mexico, you went to China, would you – and Canada, so far, would say Canada was one of your better trips, or what would you say?

DONNA – Flying ICU: I would say that we’ll see better results and stronger relationships that would be long term and mutually beneficial for both countries.

LEONARD: I just want to make a point here for just a second. Because, a lot of times what happens in the political spectrum is it involves a governor, it’s a governor trip, it’s a state of Nevada trip.

People seek to get a result fairly quickly and as we know in the business sector, a lot of times it takes a time to nurture. It takes time – it takes years sometimes to develop those relationships, cultivate them, and then to see the results.

Sometimes when you’re around town you hear certain things. But the reality is, is just like you meet somebody. It takes a while to cultivate that friendship. You don’t have a really tight friendship within the three or four or five month period of time, or even a year.

The people you have friendships with that go back ten years, those are strong bonds that tie. It’s going to take us a while to do this.

DONNA – Flying ICU: I have to say that I’m happy that you’re mentioning that because I have to compliment Governor Sandoval. He’s been tireless promoting Nevada internationally a rare understanding of the value of international relationships and co-operations. He has a grasp of the long term, which is basically what I mean by that is, he’s setting the groundwork for a better Nevada, not during his term but for the time after his term will be completed.

LEONARD: I think your story is an amazing story. One of the things I always liked to take a look at to give people hope – because there’s some many people in town here that are struggling to build businesses because somebody didn’t walk in and give you a number of planes and said: Go for it! It was a process that you said, “Well, I liked to do this.”

How did you start and what were some of the challenges you overcame to become as successful as you are? With respect, and basically, your service is life and death. Because somebody has to get some place fairly quickly.

Why don’t cover that a little bit and how important this is in terms of life and death and then how you built this and how you created such an entrepreneurial organization and such a successful company?
